Encompassed
The blaze of heat ran through my veins. Slowly my tender skin grew darker as the heat wove through SPF 30 sunscreen. I peeked through the wide brimmed hat my mother had given me. A rush of light made me squint till all I could see was a clear blue globe around me and a sun piercing through my senses. Waves. The salt from the waves bashing against the fluffy white sand refreshed my nose. My over heated body sweltering, calling for a cold rush of salty blue. As I dove into the water breaking through the surface I revived my body with moisture. Dipping under the curves and creases that crashed over my head. I was free. The water passing through my veins. Till I was alone. The sea and I. Nothing surrounding us but ourselves, encompassed in the crashing. A tap on my arm disturbed me " We're going to go back up to the house do get lunch, you coming?" Said Sarah. I nodded, my feet breaking the surface with each step. Closer and closer I felt the sand confine my toes till it again was fluffy and the blazing heat filled my veins once again.
